Auto parts shop owner Scott Dankendorf said the trend was a result of people not saving enough for gas.
“The trend has been that people aren’t saving as much money as they used to,” Dankenderf said.
He said the shop has seen a decline in business, but he said there was no indication the decline was related to the increased costs.
Dankenderffs shop sells auto parts and service parts to customers like customers who don’t own a dealership.
Auto parts shop business has been declining for the past three years.
